The West Jefferson Parks and Recreation department hosted the final Tunes on Tuesday free concert of the summer on September 17, 2019. The concert was at the Community Center in the rural Madison County village.
Purk and Jones were the entertainers for the evening. By any definition they were extremely entertaining. The duo consists of Bill Purk on guitar, mandolin, lead and harmony vocals, and Reed Jones on mandolin, banjo, guitar, lead and harmony vocals. They play a blend of Bluegrass, acoustic traditional country, Gospel, and Americana roots music.
